Flying Officer Walter Henry Bull was killed in action on 1 may 1945, and is commemorated on the Singapore Memorial. 358 squadron was formed in November 1944, taking part in the attack on Mandalay. It then became a “Special Duties” squadron and was primarily employed in dropping supplies and agents to clandestine parties operating in Japanese occupied South-east Asia.
