Able Seaman Frederick James Ellwood’s date of death is given by the C.W.G.C. as 26 September 1945 whilst serving aboard H.M.S. Landrail. He is buried at Willingham Cemetery, Cambridgeshire.

A Stoker Geoffrey Gurd was killed in action 25 November 1941 when H.M.S. Barham was sunk by an enemy submarine off the Egyptian Coast, with the loss of 848 lives.
