George Greig was appointed Ensign on 9 March 1855 and purchased a Lieutenancy on 8 January 1856. He served throughout the Indian Mutiny and in the Eusufyze Campaign of 1863. He appears to have died whilst the regiment was stationed at Sialkote sometime in 1866.
