Although obviously an old contemporary mounting, there is no evidence to confirm the Ashanti Star. Private Frank Phineas Harmer came from the 3rd Battalion, East Kent Regiment and was stationed at ‘Home’ from September 1890 until December 1899, when he went to South Africa. He was discharged on 21 September 1902.
