Major Malcolm J. R. Dundas served in South Africa with the 3rd Battalion, East Kent Regiment, where he was Commandant at Amerika Siding, and afterwards at Eensgeronder. He was mentioned in despatches London Gazette 10 September 1901. He resigned his commission in December 1901, and returned to England.
