William Ladbrook was born in the Parish of Asson, Worcestershire, and attested for the 3rd Foot at Bromsgrove on 18 February 1813. He served ‘About 5 Months in England, 5 Years and 4 Months on the Continent, 3 Years in Ireland, 5 Years in New South Wales, 9 Years and 5 Months in India. Was present at the Battles of Heights of Mayo, Orthes, Nivelle, Toulouse, and at the Battle of Platsburgh in North America.’ He was discharged at Meerut, Bengal, on 31 August 1836. Sold with copy service papers.
