This medal is first recorded for sale by Sotheby in 1886 and was subsequently in the Dalrymple White Collection 1946 and the Elson Collection 1963.

Private Philip Parkin served in No. 7 Company and is shown in the muster rolls as having been taken prisoner at Albuhera.
