East Kent Militia, a very fine officer’s helmet plate, 1878-81, all silver-plate, the back plate is of the early Albert pattern with very large crown, the mounts comprising the White Horse with ‘Invicta’ and ‘Mediterranean’ scrolls on black velvet backing, on the pierced and ‘mirrored’ circlet ‘East Kent Regiment’, laurel sprays around, excellent condition £250-350
