3rd (East Kent) Regiment of Foot (The Buffs), an officer’s shoulder belt plate (Parkyn Fig. 88), oval silver back plate (not hallmarked) with three silver mounts, the Dragon over an oval strap inscribed ‘Veteri Frondescit Honore,’ and the numeral ‘3’ within, two copper fastening pins on the reverse indicate usage on a shako or helmet plate, the Dragon and numeral ‘3’ are possibly replacements, otherwise good condition £150-250
