The Reverend Kenneth Julian Faithfull Bickersteth was Brigade Chaplain and subsequently Senior Chaplain to the 56th London Division on the Western Front. He was awarded the Military Cross in 1918 and twice mentioned in despatches. He was subsequently Archdeacon of Maidstone and Canon Residentiary of Canterbury Cathedral, and was Chaplain of Her Majesty’s Household from 1953 until his death in October 1962.
