Charles Burch, Gunner 2nd Class, R.N., is entitled to the clasp for Coomassie and was promoted to Gunner 1st Class for services during the Ashantee Campaign (London Gazette 31 March 1874). Thirty-nine Coomassie clasps to this ship but only three to officers.
