China 1857-60, 2 clasps, Taku Forts 1860, Pekin 1860 (--n Crawford, 2nd Bn. 1st The Rl. --gt.), parts of naming illegible, heavily contact marked and suspension re-fixed, thus fine £50-70

Colour Sergeant John Crawford enlisted into the 1st Foot on 3 September 1857. His service encompassed some 21 years, during which time he served in Gibraltar, China (Medal with two clasps) and the East Indies. He was awarded the Army L.S. & G.C. Medal with a gratuity of £5. Crawford was discharged in 1859 on completion of his second period of limited engagement. Sold with copy of medal roll and 6 copied pages of service papers.
