Willie Hardy was born in Halifax, West Yorkshire, on 28 September 1899. An Apprentice Worsted Spinner by occupation, he enlisted into the R.N.V.R. on 26 September 1917. He was mobilised, October 1917-February 1919. Sold with original Service Certificate and Signal History Sheet, together with damaged medal card box of issue and two riband bars.
