Harold Carr Luffingham was born on 16 September 1888. Living Brockley, London, and a Clerk by occupation, he was mobilised on 2 August 1914. Joining the Collingwood Battalion on 22 August 1914 he proceeded to Belgium. He was interned in Holland on 8 October 1914. His service papers record two periods of ’leave’ from Holland - in 1916 and again in 1918. He was repatriated on 19 November 1918 and demobilised on 9 January 1919. With original (damaged) medal card box of issue and copied service papers.
