John Robert Charles Hall was appointed an Assistant Apothecary on the Bengal Subordinate Medical Department on 20 May 1859. In 1866 he is shown as Officiating Steward in the 34th Foot, and in the following year as Officiating Apothecary in the 104th Foot.
