Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, dated reverse, 3 clasps, Tel-El-Kebir, Suakin 1884, El-Teb (C. E. Shears, Pte., R.M.) virtually extremely fine £250-300

Charles Edward Shears was born in Luton Road, Chatham, Kent. A Lime Burner by occupation, he enlisted into the Royal Marines at Chatham on 5 July 1870, aged 19 years. Serving in the Egypt 1882 Campaign, he saw action at Ramleh, Kassassin and Tel-el-Kebir. With copied service papers. Last two clasps not confirmed.
