Waterloo 1815 (Sad. Serj. Alex. Wallace, 2nd or R.N. Brit. Reg. Drag.) fitted with original steel clip and bar suspension, nearly extremely fine £3500-4000

Alexander Wallace was born in the Parish of Mauchline, Ayrshire, and enlisted into the 2nd Dragoons at Salisbury on 29 March 1801. A saddler by trade, he was promoted to regimental Saddler Sergeant in April 1814 and served in that rank at the battle of Waterloo. He was discharged to pension at Glasgow, being worn out, on 29 June 1824. Sold with copy discharge and muster papers.
