Co Cork, Cork, Cork Bank, Seven Shillings and Seven Pence, undated, no. 399, from the Bank of Cotter & Kelletts, signed by William Kelletts. Many splits and small holes, a 20mm tear in top edge and damaged at both lower corners, otherwise intact, good to very good, rare €600-800

The bank traces its history back to the original partnership of Falkiner & Mills, c. 1760. Sir James Lawrence Cotter, 2nd Bt (1748-1829) became the senior partner in 1799, but the bank failed in 1809
