Second Hand Tom Nixon Harrison was awarded the D.S.M. in the 1944 New Year Honours for service aboard H.M. Trawler Sir Lamorak.

Sir Lamorak was a ‘Round Table’ Class trawler, was built by Hall Russell of Aberdeen, laid down in February 1942, launched in November 1942 and completed in February 1943. With a gross tonnage of 440 tons and a complement of 35, she was chiefly used as a minesweeper.
