Thomas Percival Bennington was born at Gateshead, Durham, on 1 February 1884, and joined the Royal Navy as a Boy 2nd Class on 1 February 1902. He served during the Great War aboard Actaeon, July 1914 to June 1915, Duncan, July 1915 to July 1916, and Terror, July 1916 to December 1919. After the war he saw service in Emperor of India and Egmont before being invalided out on 28 January 1920. Sold with copy service record and gazette extract.
