Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 3 clasps, Cape Colony, Transvaal, Wittebergen (2304 Pte. P. Kelleher, Leins. Regt.) faint scratches to obverse, otherwise good very fine £90-110

Patrick Kelleher was born in Cork, Ireland. A Labourer by occupation, he attested for service in the Leinster Regiment on 19 February 1889, aged 19 years. With the 2nd Battalion he served in Malta, November 1894-November 1895 and Bermuda, November 1895-December 1896. He was transferred to the Army Reserve in December 1896 but was recalled to the Colours in December 1899. With the 1st Battalion he then served in South Africa, April 1900-January 1902. Kelleher was discharged on the completion of his period of engagement on 18 February 1902. Sold with copied service papers and roll extract.
