Confirmed as a Midshipman aboard H.M.S. Pigmy during the Egypt operations

Accompanying research notes state that James Lockhart was born at Reiory, Ireland. He joined the cutter Pigmy as a volunteer from Falmouth, aged 22, rated as an Able Seaman, and was appointed Midshipman on 2 May 1800.
