H. A. Hunt joined the Regular Army in about 1922. With the 1st Battalion Dorsetshire Regiment, he was promoted to Colour Sergeant in February 1938. Later the same year he was transferred to the 2nd Battalion and as C.Q.M.S. served with them in the B.E.F. in France. He was awarded the Army L.S. & G.C. (Regular Army), this notified in Army Order 193 of October 1940. Postwar he was awarded the Army M.S.M. After completing his service with the Regular Army, Hunt then joined the Territorial Army. For his continued service, he was awarded the Efficiency Medal, this notified in List 33 of 1957. Sold with some copied research.
