France, Presentation medals and awards (26) to Count René Carrere de Nabat, mostly in silver, a few in silver. Generally extremely fine or better (£200-300)

Most of the medals in the interesting lot above are related to fencing and include three fine Art Deco medals by Chassaing [one illustrated] for the Federation Parisienne d’ Escrimeurs; and second prize medal for the French Championship in 1914, but other subjects are represented, and including one fine Art Nouveau medal by Daniel-Dupois for the Automobile Club de France. This consignment also included a participation medal for the Amsterdam Olympics, 1928 (offered as a separate lot) clear evidence that Count René Carrere de Nabat, participated at the games on behalf of France in the fencing category. Worthy of further research.
