France, Pierre Larousse, 1902, a bronze plaque by A.-L.-M. Charpentier, half-length figure of Larousse seated right at a table, books on shelves behind, rev. stippled portrait of a girl right, blowing petals from a flower, tablet with names of personnel at lower right, 71 x 68mm (Coll. R. Marx 270; PBE –; BDM I, 412). Edge nick at top left corner, otherwise very fine and very rare (£60-80)
