Pair: Private R. Queen, Royal Highlanders, who was awarded a Wauchope Medal for conspicuous gallantry at the battle of Mushaidie on 14 March 1917

Private Robert Queen, 2nd Battalion, Royal Highlanders, entered the French theatre of war on 22 April 1915. He subsequently served in Mesopotamia and was awarded the Wauchope Medal for Gallantry for his services at the battle of Mushaidie on 14 March 1917. He died on 16 November 1918, aged 23 years and was buried in the Beirut War Cemetery. He was the son of Mrs and Mrs John Queen of 44 East Side, Kirkintilloch, Glasgow.
