Three: Captain S. G. Torrance, 58th Battalion Canadian Infantry (Central Ontario Regiment), killed in action, 13 November 1917

Private Samuel Greenshields Torrance entered the France/Flanders theatre of war with the 24th Battalion Canadian Infantry. He was commissioned following the 2nd Battle of Ypres. Serving in the 58th Battalion he was killed in action on 13 November 1917 in the line to the north of Passchendaele. He was buried in the Oxford Road Cemetery, Ieper, West-Vlanderen, Belgium. Captain Torrance was the son of Alice S. Torrance of 616 St. Joseph Street, Lachine, Canada.
