Sydney Hollins Fisher entered the France/Flanders theatre of war as a Private in the 9th Battalion London Regiment, on 4 November 1914. As a Captain in the 9th Battalion Middlesex Regiment, attached 24th Battalion Rifle Brigade in India, he died on 28 September 1918, aged 27 years. His name is commemorated on the Kirkee 1914-1918 Memorial. He was the son of William and Harriette Fisher of 17 Ridley Road, Harlesden, London.

Sold with damaged medal card boxes of issue and registered envelope addressed to his father; memorial scroll and plaque forwarding slip; typed orders re. his attachment to the 24th Battalion Rifle Brigade at Abbottabad, India, and copied m.i.c.
