India General Service 1854-95, 1 clasp, Persia (Ensign, 2nd Bombay European Light Infy.); Indian Mutiny 1857-59, no clasp (Lieut., 2nd Bombay European Light Infy.) both later issues, mounted for wear, good very fine (2) £600-800

Francis Warden was commissioned an Ensign in June 1855 and promoted to Lieutenant in February 1857, Captain in July 1862, Major in May 1874 and Lieutenant-Colonel in October 1877. He served throughout the Persian Campaign of 1856-57, including storm and capture of Reshire, the surrender of Bushire, expedition to Borazjoon and battle of Kooshab. In the suppression of the Indian Mutiny he was present at the assault of Kolapore.
