Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, dated reverse, 1 clasp, Alexandria 11th July (T. E. Fuller, Lg. Sea., H.M.S. Penelope) contact marks and lacquered, nearly very fine £130-150

Thomas Edward Fuller was born in Crosshaven, Co. Cork in February 1858 and entered the Royal Navy as a Boy 2nd Class in March 1874. A Leading Seaman by the time of his service in H.M.S. Penelope (June to November 1882), he transferred to the Coast Guard as a Boatman in October 1885, and was awarded the L.S. & G.C. Medal prior to finally coming ashore as a Chief Petty Officer (Pensioner) in February 1913. Fuller died at Kingston upon Hill in April 1936; sold with a file of research, including copied service record and death certificate.
