Arthur William Stubbs lived in Dalston and enlisted at Blackheath. Serving with the 20th Battalion London Regiment, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, 30 November 1917, aged 28 years. He was buried in Hermies Hill British Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France. He was the son of William Charles and Mary Stubbs of Ravensdale Park, Co. Louth, Ireland. Sold with medal forwarding slip and modern photograph of gravestone.
