Squadron Quarter Master Sergeant William Henry Dickinson, Hertfordshire Imperial Yeomanry, was awarded the Imperial Yeomanry L.S. & G.C., notified in Army Order 27 of February 1905.

Dickinson was granted a commission as a Temporary Lieutenant in the Army Service Corps on 6 February 1915; a few days later he was advanced to Temporary Captain. He entered the Egypt theatre of war on 3 April 1915. Serving with the Egypt Expeditionary Force, he was twice mentioned in the despatches of General Sir Edmund Allenby and was awarded the military O.B.E. for his services. Temporary Captain, Acting Lieutenant-Colonel Dickinson, R.A.S.C., relinquished his commission on completion of his service on 18 June 1921. Sold with copied research.
