Great War Memorial Medallion, by A. Drury, obverse: Minerva tending a fallen naked male figure, reverse: a soldier and sailor with arms reversed, by a plaque, crudely inscribed, ‘Norman H. Fisher, Lieut., L.N.L., 16 July 1917’, 44mm., silver-gilt, good very fine £30-40

Lieutenant Norman Hill Fisher, 2nd/4th Battalion Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, died of wounds on 16 April 1917 (note date different to that on medal). His name is commemorated on the Estaires Communal Cemetery Extension. He was the son of Ben Edwin and Clara Fisher of St. Annes-on-the-Sea, Lancashire. Sold with copied research.
