Vivian Frank Telford was born and lived in Leyton, Essex and enlisted at Walthamstow. Serving with the 7th Battalion Essex Regiment, he was killed in action at Gallipoli, 14 August 1915, aged 19 years. His name is commemorated on the Helles Memorial. He was the son of Clara and the late Frederick Telford, of Grove Bungalow, Wellington, Nilgiri Hills, India.
