India General Service 1854-95, 2 clasps, Burma 1885-7, Burma 1887-89 (189 Pte. W. Murray, 2nd Bn. Som. L.I.) minor edge bruising, good very fine £140-180

William Murray was born in Weymouth, Dorset. A Labourer by occupation, he attested for the Somerset Light Infantry at Taunton on 14 October 1882, aged 20 years. With the 2nd Battalion he served in India and Burma, October 1886-January 1889. He was discharged on 15 January 1889 due to paralysis of the right arm. Sold with copied service and medical papers and Chelsea Disability Pensions details.
