Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, 2 clasps, The Nile 1884-85, Abu Klea (603 Pte. J. Moffatt, Conn. Rangs.) light traces of brooch mounts to reverse and consequent minor marks to edge, otherwise very fine £600-700

1 officer and 26 other ranks of the 2nd Connaught Rangers served on the Nile in the Mounted Infantry Camel Regiment, of whom all but three privates fought at Abu Klea.

Private James Moffatt was severely wounded in the right elbow at Mettemeh on 19 January 1885. Sold with copy of casualty roll entry and some muster details.
