Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, 2 clasps, The Nile 1884-85, Abu Klea (1585 Pte. H. Cordon, 16th Lancers) nearly extremely fine £700-800

3 officers and 43 other ranks of the 16th Lancers served in the Light Cavalry Regiment on the Nile, of whom 3 officers and 37 other ranks fought at Abu Klea.

Henry Cordon was born in the Parish of Stoke on Trent, near Hanley, Staffordshire, and enlisted for the 16th Lancers at Hanley on 22 May 1878, a clerk by profession, aged 19 years 4 months.He was transferred to the 1st Class Army Reserve on 25 May 1886, and discharged on 24 May 1890. Sold with copy discharge papers.
