Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, 3 clasps, Tel-El-Kebir, The Nile 1884-85, Abu Klea (2529 Pte. W. Harrison, 7/Dn. Gds.) edge bruising and pitting from star, otherwise nearly very fine £500-600

2 officers and 43 other ranks of the 2nd Dragoon Guards served in the Heavy Cavalry Regiment on the Nile, of whom 2 officers and 38 other ranks fought at Abu Klea.

Private William Harrison served with the 7th Dragoon Guards in Egypt, having volunteered from the 2nd Dragoon Guards on 27 July 1882. He returned to the 2nd Dragoon Guards on 11 May 1883, and is noted as serving with the Camel Corps from 26 September 1884. Sold with brief service notes.
