3 officers and 35 other ranks of the Berkshire Regiment served in the Camel Corps on the Nile, attached to the Tansport Department.

William Haynes was born in Buckinghamshire and enlisted into the 49th Regiment on 21 February 1879. He served with the Berkshires in Egypt in 1882 and was attached to the Transport Department of the Camel Corps on the Nile Expedition. He was discharged on 21 February 1891. Sold with copy discharge papers.
