2 officers and 42 other ranks of the 3rd Hussars served in the Light Camel Regiment on the Nile, all of whom received this single clasp except one man who was also present at Kirbekan.

William Batchelor was born at Hill Norton, Rugby, and enlisted for General Service Cavalry on 21 January 1882, being posted to the 3rd Hussars. He transferred as Squadron Sergeant-Major to the West Kent Yeomanry in June 1902, from which unit he was finally discharged at Maidstone on 31 May 1913. Sold with copy discharge papers.
