Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, dated reverse, no clasp (1. Sergt. Maj: R. C. Robinson, Mil: Ft. Police) official corrections to naming and light pitting, otherwise very fine £120-150

2 officers and 65 other ranks of the Military Foot Police served in Egypt in 1882, of whom 2 officers and 19 other ranks were present at Tel-el-Kebir. This was the first campaign for the newly formed M.F.P.

Sergeant-Major Charles Robinson was the first man of the Military Foot Police and was later Sergeant Instructor to the 8th Middlesex Rifle Volunteers at Hounslow.
