Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, 3 clasps, Alexandria 11th July, The Nile 1884-85, Abu Klea (W. E. V. Casey, Ord. H.M.S. “Alexandra”) pitting from star, otherwise very fine £600-700

61 officers and men of the Royal Navy were present at Abu Klea, of whom 28 had these three clasps.

William Edward Vincent Casey was born in the Parish of St Charles, Plymouth, on 29 August 1864, and joined the Royal Navy on 6 February 1880. He served aboard H.M.S. Alexandra from September 1881 until October 1882, and was on the books of Monarch with the Nile Flotilla from October 1884 until June 1885. He received his L.S. & G.C. medal in October 1916.
