Edward Slowley Douel from Bedminster enlisted on 29 October 1915. He served initially with the 4th Battalion Royal Welsh Fusiliers. When serving with the 14th Battalion Royal Welsh Fusiliers, 28 April 1917-27 September 1918, he was awarded the Military Medal. He was wounded in action on 18 September 1918, hit by machine-gun fire and taking a wound to his right ankle. Sold with copied research.
