M.B.E. London Gazette 1 January 1946. ‘Acting Squadron Leader Kenneth Dudley Foster (63501) Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve’.

Recommendation states: ‘Squadron Leader Foster held the post of Commanding Officer No.1046 (2nd Wolverhampton) Squadron from the formation of the A.T.C. in February, 1941, and was appointed District Staff Officer for Staffordshire and Shropshire very soon after the Regional System was introduced in Octber, 1941. He is now employed as the District Staff Officer for Shropshire. The service he has rendered to the A.T.C. has been most commendable. Squadron Leader Foster has always shown himself diligent in visiting the Squadrons and tactful in dealing with the problems of Committees and Officers. He has made excellent contacts with personnel of the Royal Air Force in connection with affiliation and camps for his Units and has always been ready to accept any duties on behalf of the Command even in his spare time of which he has devoted a large proportion to A.T.C. activities’.
