Warrant Officer Class 2 William John McCord, R.A.M.C., was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant and thence Lieutenant in September 1950. Promoted to Captain in February 1957, he was later awarded the Efficiency Decoration (London Gazette 15 November 1960).
