Harold Albert Andrews was born on 30 December 1900 and enlisted on 25 July 1919. He served in the ranks until commissioned as Quartermaster, Indian Army (Special List) on 1 January 1939, with seniority as Lieutenant of the same day. He was attached to a Training Battalion, Bengal Sappers and Miners, and was Officer in charge of Records at Roorkee. He was granted the war substantive rank of Captain in July 1941 and was Acting and Temporary Major at various dates in that year. In November 1948 his medals were sent to his address at Canterbury, Kent. Sold with named card box of issue.
