Pair: Private Sydney Finn, Royal Fusiliers

Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 5 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902 (7796 Pte. S. Finn, Rl. Fus.) naming officially re-impressed; Tibet 1903-04, 1 clasp, Gyantse (7796 Pte. S. Finn, 1st Bn. Ryl. Fuslrs.) together with a small locket containing a coloured photograph of Finn in uniform wearing his medals, the reverse with another of a baby, nearly very fine or better (2) £600-800

Sydney Finn was born in the Parish of Tottenham, London, and enlisted into the Royal Fusiliers at Dalston on 25 January 1900. He served in the Mounted Infantry in South Africa from March 1901 to October 1902, and in India from October 1903 to November 1907. He served at Home thereafter until 24 January 1912, when he was discharged at Hounslow. Sold with copy discharge papers which confirm both medals.
