One of only 80 officers and men of the Parachute Regiment in Malaya during 1955-57. For service in Malaya they formed the Independent Squadron of the Parachute Regiment, attached to 22 S.A.S. Regiment. Sold with extracts from Pegasus, detailing the formation of the unit, its training in Malaya and deployment in within the country with 22 S.A.S. Regiment - with operations in the Palong Forest Reserve, and along Sungi Bera in Pahang, where the Squadron gained its first ‘kill’. Sold with a listing of the 80 officers and men of the Parachute Regiment in Malaya.
