Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, undated reverse, 2 clasps, The Nile 1884-85, Abu Klea (1098 Pte. H. Cooper, 2nd Dgn. Gds.) extremely fine £1800-2200

Private H. Cooper was killed in action at Abu Klea on 17 January 1885, one of four fatalities suffered by the Queen’s Bays in the battle - 40 men from the regiment were engaged with the Heavy Camel Regiment that day, which latter corps lost six officers and 48 other ranks killed, and another 28 wounded.
