The Royal Scots (Lothian Regiment), a very rare officer’s glengarry badge the Thistle star in hallmarked silver (Edinburgh 1914 by ET), the star mounted with a raised gilt Thistle Motto and pierced thistle centre, this with a backing of green enamel (gilt section with some gilt loss); 9th Battalion, a scarce officer’s die-stamped unmarked silver glengarry badge c1908-20 being the star of the Order of the Thistle with a raised unpierced centre, two long loop fasteners; together with a Senior NCO’s issue, the Star of solid die-cast silver plate and the gilt Thistle Motto section unpierced; The Royal Scots (The Royal Regiment), a good quality officer’s post 1935 glengarry badge, the now lozenge shaped Thistle star with gilt Thistle Motto and pierced centre, this with a backing of green enamel; together with a Sergeant’s relevant issue in lower grade plated white metal, the gilt section heavily rubbed and the enamel backing damaged, the three officers’ items in very good condition (5) £230-280
